Dr. Susan E. Craig

Susan is an attorney with the Kosieradzki Smith Law Firm. Susan is a Medical Doctor who entered law as a second career. She became interested in law when she testified as an expert witness.  With her background as a physician and as a testifying expert, Susan brings insights to the legal practice that separates her from most lawyers handling injury/death cases.

Susan joined the Kosieradzki Smith Law Firm in 2020. She is a family medicine doctor who became an attorney as a second career. She became interested in law when she testified as an expert witness in two particular cases: In each, she had been the physician who examined children and determined that they had been sexually abused, then notified the authorities. In court, she was impressed at the power of the law to do good, and in those cases, to save the children. 

Susan graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine and did her Family Practice Residency training at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA, where she was also Chief Resident. She practiced medicine in the Sacramento area for several years. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians and served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. She was a Diplomat in the American Board of Family Medicine 1984 – 2011. Susan was awarded the Physician’s Recognition Award by the American Medical Association 2005 – 2011. 

Susan graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2019 and is licensed to practice law in Minnesota. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota Association of Justice, and American Association of Justice. 

Susan enjoys being able to utilize both her medical and legal knowledge to help people who have been treated wrongfully.
