Washington State Association for Justice Keynote
By Kosieradzki Smith Law Firm / August 8, 2017
August 5, 2017 – The Washington State Association for Justice met for their annual convention held in Vancouver, BC. Our own Mark Kosieradzki was asked to participate as a keynote speaker Saturday afternoon.
Mark presented on the use of 30(b)(6) as a method to discover information from corporate and government entities. He explains 30(b)(6) as the following interview:
Transcript:
Rule 30(b)(6) is actually a device, it’s a way to take testimonies from corporations, governmental entities and organization. Rather than people bounce your from person to person saying “I don’t know, I don’t know.” You can tell the organization, “This is specific information that I want to receive, you have to tell me.” So this is the device that we use.
The focus of Mark’s presentation in Vancouver was how to deal with other lawyers you are inhibiting your ability to ask questions at a deposition.
Mr. Kosieradzki literally wrote the book on 30(b)(6) depositions and gives presentations on a regular basis of how to use the method.
