Attorney Mark Kosieradzki Lectures to the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association

By Kosieradzki Smith Law Firm / March 5, 2014

Mark Kosieradzki lectured at the Leaders and Legends program for the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA) in Texarkana, Arkansas on March 5, 2014.

Mark spoke on the use of 30(b)(6), a procedural rule to compel corporations to disclose information. Rule 30(b)(6) is one of the most misunderstood, yet most powerful tools available to Lawyers. Rule 30(b)(6) requires an organization to appoint a designee (or designees when necessary) to speak under oath on behalf of the company in response to the matters designated in the deposition notice. Strategic use of Rule 30(b)(6) can cut the cost of litigation and find information that is often buried, obscured or withheld by corporations.

DVDMark has assisted skilled lawyers throughout the country in preparing their cases by using his skills and experience in uncovering corporate information. He taught his techniques on how to strategically draft the Rule 30(b)(6) deposition notice to get the evidence necessary for winning their cases.

Most Recently, the American Association for Justice released his DVD, Deposing the Corporate Representative: 30(b)(6) Depositions. The DVD can be purchased from American Association for Justice by contacting 202.965.3500, ext. 8615 of the AAJ Exchange.

Pictured to the left is the Federal Courthouse located directly on the Arkansas-Texas state line. It is the only federal office building to straddle a state line. It is also the only courthouse that has two states that share the federal district court house, even though they are in different federal districts (Fifth Circuit, Eight Circuit). It is said to be the most photographed courthouse in the country after the Supreme Court Building in Washington D.C. according to the Arkansas State Website.
